The MA 60 aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation brought from China has halted its operation after a bird crashed into it at the Biratnagar airport on Monday morning.
The plane has suffered some damage to its right propeller as it came across a bird in course of landing at the airport .
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $ 180 million loan to help Nepal overcome crippling power shortages
The loan, from the ADB’s concessional resources, will be complemented by a co-financing loan of $ 120 million from the European Investment Bank, a $ 60 million grant from the government of Norway, and a $ 11.2 million grant from the ADB-administered Strategic Climate Fund.
On the sixth day of the CPN-UML’s ninth national convention on Tuesday, most of the delegates have opined that the country should not be federated into more than seven provinces.
Putting forth their views in the 19 groups formed to facilitate the discussions, the delegates, who have gathered at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu from across the country said the number of provinces not exceeding seven would be suitable for Nepal.
