PM Koirala asks UCPN (Maoist) to jettison waywardness
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has on Sunday asked the UCPN (Maoist) to shed its old political tactic of threatening.
"The main opposition must stop hindering the constitution-drafting process by being ready to resolve the dispute through talks," he said while speaking at a joint press conference held in the Capital today.
The conference was organized by Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) to make public their common proposal on contentious issues of new constitution.
Speaking on the same occasion, UML chairman K.P Sharma Oli also urged the UCPN (Maoist) to stay away from raising minor issues at the cost of the constitution-writing process.
Including Koirala and Oli, representatives of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Bishwendra Paswan led Bahujan Shakti Party and two independent lawmakers were present at the press meet.
