UML proposes Madhesi parties to jon govt
The ruling CPN (UML) has on Monday forwarded a proposal to the Madhes-based parties to join the government.
During a meeting held at the UML Parliamentary Party Office in Singha Durbar, UML Chairman K. P Oli made a formal invitation to the Mades-based parties affiliated to the Samyukta Loktantrik Morcha to be part of the government.
He did so by saying that the new constitution could not be promulgated by January 22 if the national consensus was not forged.
However, the alliance turned down the proposal stating that they will not join the government until a new constitution is formed.
Chairman of Sadvawana Party, Rajendra Mahato, reportedly said, "The parties aligned to the Madhesi front are averse to the idea of joining the government until the formation of new constitution."
