CPN-UML parliamentary party leader, KP Oli has arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday after a month long medical treatment in Bangkok, Thailand.
Oli returned Nepal aboard a Thai Air’s regular flight in the afternoon. He was welcomed by party cadres and the citizens.
Addressing a brief press meet at Tribhuvan International Airport after his arrival, Oli said the UML’s upcoming ninth General Convention will select a new leadership through consensus.
“Such a consensus could be forged based on suitability and relevance,” Oli said.
On the matter of resolving issues related to constitution making process, he said, discussions will be held with all political parties to reach to a conclusion.
Oli expressed his gratitude to all those who wished him good health including the Prime Minister, President and the citizens.
Oli had undergone kidney transplant surgery some seven years ago.
WTO Director General, Azevedo arrives Nepal
The World Trade Organization (WTO) Director General, Roberto Azevedo, arrived in Kathmandu on a day-long visit to Nepal on Wednesday.
Director General Azevedo came to Nepal in course of studying the problems faced by under-developed countries, according to the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies.
This is the first time that a top officer of the WTO visited Nepal.
During his visit, the WTO Director General met Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Pandey and Minister for Commerce and Supplies Sunil Bahadur Thapa.
